Antonio Cortis
(Valencia, 1891 –1952). Tenor. Estudió en el Conservatorio de Valencia y debutó en 1914, en el Teatro Real de Madrid. Se trasladó a Italia en 1919, destacando especialmente en Pagliacci, de Leoncavallo, y La fanciulla del West, de Puccini. Cantó en la Arena de Verona, la Scala de Milán y el San Carlo de Nápoles (Italia). Su carrera internacional lo llevó hasta Chicago (EE.UU.), en cuyo auditorio fue un apreciado tenor en obras como La bohème y Tosca, de Puccini, y Rigoletto y Trovatore, de Verdi.
